After 12 years at South Carolina, Jamie Speronis is reportedly on his way out of Columbia.
The Gamecocks veteran director of football operations is expected to leave the program soon, according to The State’s Josh Kendall, who cites a source.
Speronis worked alongside Steve Spurrier for 25 years, including the Head Ball Coach’s stints with Florida and the Washington Redskins.
According to his bio on the official South Carolina football website, Speronis’ duties include the administration and day-to-day operations of the football program:
“He oversees the logistics relating to the spring, preseason and postseason practices. He directs the walk-on program, works with NFL personnel and serves as the liaison to the compliance office and several other athletics and university departments. In addition, Speronis coordinates team travel arrangements and oversees the football budget.”
