On Saturday, South Carolina added a commitment from linebacker Ahdarrious Gee, their first pledge for 2019.
Gee, who is on campus with Crisp County High School teammate Jammie Robinson, committed to South Carolina over several SEC offers, including Kentucky Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. North Carolina State has also offered.
The 6-foot-1, 203-pound prospect is listed as a 3-star by Rivals.
South Carolina hosted Gee and Robinson for camp in June. They’ll spend Saturday night in Columbia before heading back home.
The Gamecocks picked up a commitment from 2018 offensive lineman Jesus Gibbs earlier in the day, during the SpursUp recruiting event.
Linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler has a commitment from 2018 linebacker Ernest Jones IV, a 3-star from Ware County High School in Waycross, Ga.
Bucks coach Mike Peterson serves as the area recruiter for Gee and Robinson, who’s listed by 247Sports as the No. 33 cornerback in the Class of 2019.
