Nasirildeen, a rising senior at Concord High School in North Carolina, is ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 12 outside linebacker in the class of 2017, but he’ll play safety for the Gamecocks.
Coach Will Muschamp dropped the hint that Nasirildeen was on board with his customary commitment tweet.

Listed as the No. 139 overall prospect in the country, Nasirildeen is now the highest ranked prospect in the Gamecocks class. He joins WR Shi Smith and OL T.J. Moore as the third 4-star commitment in South Carolina’s 2017 haul.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect is also the No. 3 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina.

South Carolina hosted him for two visits this summer, first in June for the Will Muschamp Football Camp and again last month for the cookout, which he said went “great.”
As a junior, Nasirildeen had 80 tackles, four interceptions and five pass breakups. On the offensive side of the ball, he caught 33 passes for 584 yards and two touchdowns.
Running backs coach Bobby Bentley serves as Nasirildeen’s primary recruiter for the Gamecocks.
