South Carolina received an early addition to its 2017 recruiting class on Tuesday.
Wide receiver Stephen Guidry announced his commitment to play for the Gamecocks.

Guidry is a junior college prospect who played at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss. this past season. He chose South Carolina over SEC rivals UGA, Mississippi State and Missouri. He also received scholarship offers from Miami and Louisiana-Monroe.
The 6-foot-4, 190 pound prospect should be a welcomed addition to South Carolina’s receiving corps in 2017. The Gamecocks have lost two receivers from last year’s roster to transfers this offseason. Leading receiver Pharoh Cooper also left for the NFL.
South Carolina’s most recent deduction was rising sophomore D.J. Neal, who announced he would be leaving the program on Tuesday.
