Will he stay or will he go?
With 18 days to go before underclassmen must declare for the 2016 NFL Draft, there is still a level of uncertainty regarding South Carolina junior linebacker Skai Moore.
Moore had declared for the draft, but is now rethinking his decision after multiple conversations with first-year Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp, according to The State’s Josh Kendall.
Moore led South Carolina in tackles each of the past three seasons. He also led the team in interceptions in 2013 and 2015.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker has amassed 258 tackles during his South Carolina career, and his 111 tackles in 2015 were the most by a Gamecocks player since Jonathan Martin had 122 in 2002.
Linebacker is a particularly deep position group in the 2016 class, which may or may not hurt Moore’s draft stock.
Underclassmen have until Jan. 22 to decide whether or not to declare for the draft.
