South Carolina loses commitment from 4-star OLB
South Carolina has lost a key commitment amid recent reports of coach Steve Spurrier’s retirement.
P.J. Blue, a 4-star outside linebacker from Montgomery, Ala., announced that he would reopen his recruitment through Twitter on Monday. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound product from Park Crossing High School had been committed to the Gamecocks since July. He’s reported offers from eight programs, including Alabama and Clemson, and is rated as the No. 8 player in Alabama.
Blue is the first recruit to decommit from the program in the wake of Spurrier’s retirement.
After talking it over with my family I have decided to decommit from the University of South Carolina.
