For the second time Monday, South Carolina’s 2016 recruiting class lost a longtime member.
Three-star inside linebacker JaCorey Morris de-committed from South Carolina, his coach told SportsTalk in South Carolina.
The de-commitment comes just hours after three-star athlete Tre Jackson did the same.
Morris, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect from Clarke County School (Grove Hill, Ala.), pledged to South Carolina back in August while Lorenzo Ward and Jon Hoke were still serving as the Gamecocks’ co-defensive coordinators.
The No. 21 prospect in Alabama, Morris also holds offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina’s in-state rival Clemson, among others.
