COLUMBIA, S.C. — With SEC Media Days set to open on Monday morning, the South Carolina football team has released its official preseason roster and depth chart.
The cover of the Gamecocks media guide includes several of the top players from the 2017 roster, including sophomore quarterback Jake Bentley, senior linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams and senior safety D.J. Smith.
All three, of course, are among the players listed on South Carolina’s official depth chart. The only first-year players listed on the depth chart went through spring practice in Columbia: wide receiver OrTre Smith and safety Jaylin Dickerson.
The official roster includes all of the 2017 signees, including junior college signees Javon Kinlaw and Keisean Nixon, who will wear numbers 99 and 9, respectively.
Sophomore running back Rico Dowdle is now listed with the 5 jersey, the same number he wore at Asheville (N.C.) High School. Wide receiver Terry Googer, who was No. 5 in 2016, switched the No. 6.
Like Bentley, freshman defensive lineman Brad Johnson will be No. 19.
Auburn transfer Stephen Davis Jr. is listed as a running back. He’s also been assigned to wear No. 35.
Muschamp, along with Bentley, Hurst and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, will report to SEC Media Days on Thursday.
