Former South Carolina fullback Patrick DiMarco is headed to the Super Bowl with the Atlanta Falcons. His most recent game, Atlanta’s NFC Championship win against Green Bay, saw the fullback catch a 31-yard pass, but it also saw him mic’d up for audio.

DiMarco and the Falcons will take on the New England Patriots on Feb. 5 in Super Bowl LI in Houston. He is the lone South Carolina alum in the Super Bowl.
He played fullback and tight end during his career at South Carolina, during which he in 52 games through his four seasons under Steve Spurrier. DiMarco totaled 302 yards receiving in his career, 147 of which came as a senior, as well as 6 touchdowns.
DiMarco had 7 catches for 52 yards and touchdown this season. He is in his fourth year with Atlanta, after being signed by San Diego after he finished his South Carolina career. He played a season with the Kansas City Chiefs before joining the Falcons in 2013. He was named to the Pro Bowl last season and also earned second-team All-Pro honors.
