Several of the country’s top 2018 recruits visited South Carolina on Saturday for the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game.
Five-star defensive end Xavier Thomas (Florence, S.C.), who was among the headliners, signed a few autographs for fans before kickoff. Cornerback signee Jamyest Williams (Loganville, Ga.) was at his side for much of the pre-game festivities.

According to the 247Sports composite, Thomas is the No. 1 weak-side defensive end in the country. Henry is rated second.
The No. 4 strong-side defensive end, Brenton Cox (Stockbridge, Ga.), was also spotted. He was there with a handful of others from the state of Georgia, including 2019 wide receiver Jadon Haselwood, a Georgia commitment from Ellenwood. Four-star guard Dylan Wonnum (Tucker, Ga.) and 3-star outside linebacker Ernest Jones (Waycross, Ga.) were there, too.
Several quarterbacks made it to campus, including 2017 signee Jay Urich (Piedmont, S.C.), 2018 targets Dakereon Joyner (North Charleston, S.C.) and Tyler Shough (Chandler, Ariz.) and Thomas Sirk, a graduate transfer from Duke, who was on an official visit.
South Carolina also hosted 2017 prospect Darius Douglas (Berkeley, S.C.), who played quarterback in the Shrine Bowl. Another, 2020 standout Luke Doty (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), returned to Williams-Brice Stadium.
Three-star wide receiver Demarcus Gregory (Duncan, S.C.) made it to campus. So did 3-star offensive tackle Jerome Carvin (Cordova, Tenn.)

As expected, all three of the 2018 commitments visited: wide receiver Darius Rush (Greeleyville, S.C.), offensive guard LaMarius Benson (Covington, Ga.) and center Hank Manos (Chapin, S.C.).
