On Friday afternoon, South Carolina’s Board of Trustees revealed the contract details of Will Muschamp’s nine assistant coaches for the 2016 season. The board’s executive committee approved the deals, according to The State’s Josh Kendall, and they are next set to go before the full board.
Defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson reportedly received the largest contract, worth $750,000, followed by offensive coordinator Kurt Roper’s $700,000 deal. Both coordinators were signed for two seasons, while everyone else inked one-year pacts.
Shawn Elliott (offensive line) and Lance Thompson (assistant head coach/defensive line) will make $500,000; Bryan Mcclendon (co-offensive coordinators/wide receivers) will make $450,000; Bobby Bentley (running backs) and Coleman Hutzler (special teams/linebackers) will make $300,000; Mike Peterson (outside linebackers) and Pat Washington (tight ends) will make $200,000.
The board also announced the signing of strength and conditioning coach Jeff Dillman, who will make $400,000 this year.
