South Carolina commit David Beatty is a nominee for the most prestigious high school basketball all-star game.
The Philadelphia Imhotep Institute senior guard was announced as a McDonald’s All-American Game nominee on Tuesday.
Beatty is one of 11 players from the state of Pennsylvania nominated to play ini the 40th edition of the boy’s McDonald’s game. Rosters will be revealed Sunday night at 10:30pm on ESPNU.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard committed to South Carolina on Dec. 1, picking the Gamecocks over offers from Georgetown, Indiana, UConn and many others.
P.J. Dozier is South Carolina’s most recent McDonald’s All-American, playing in the game in 2015.
The McDonald’s All-American Games games are scheduled for March 29 in Chicago.
