A lot of basketball players spend the summer working on their game, trying to improve and add skills.
Not everyone is doing it with a two-time NBA MVP.
According to The State, South Carolina sophomore P.J. Dozier is doing just that, as he is attending Stephen Curry’s SC Select camp.
Dozier, a 6-foot-6 guard, started 28 games last season as a freshman for Frank Martin and the Gamecocks. He averaged 6.7 points per game and 2.1 assists. He was the No. 25 overall player in the class of 2015, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Curry became the first unanimous MVP in NBA history this year, as he led the Golden State Warriors to 73 wins and an appearance in the NBA Finals. Curry’s camp brings together some of the top collegiate and prep guards in the country, where they receive coaching from Curry and others.
In April, Curry sent personalized invitations to each of the camp’s attendees.
