Make it two South Carolina basketball programs in the Elite Eight after the women’s team rolled past Quinnipiac on Saturday.
The Gamecocks scored 100 points for the first time this season, with Kaela Davis pouring in 28 to lead the Gamecocks to their second Elite Eight appearance in three years with a 100-58 win in Stockton, Calif.
South Carolina will play either Florida State or Oregon State on Monday with a spot in the Final Four on the line.
South Carolina and Oregon are the only schools to have their men’s and women’s teams in the Elite Eight.
The Gamecocks took a 16-0 lead in the first quarter, holding Quinnipiac scoreless until the 2:51 mark. South Carolina is one win from a trip to Dallas to play in the Final Four.
Junior forward A’ja Wilson added 24 points for the Gamecocks, and junior guard Allisha Gray had 19.
