Fans of the South Carolina women’s basketball team who weren’t in Dallas cheering on the Gamecocks to a national title will get their chance to applaud the team in Columbia on Monday.
The school announced that coach Dawn Staley and members of the Gamecocks will be at Colonial Life Arena at 4 p.m. ET for a celebration of the school’s first women’s hoops national title.
South Carolina defeated Mississippi State 67-55 on Sunday night to earn the trophy. Junior A’ja Wilson was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
Doors will open for the event at 3 p.m. Students will have every reason to be there, as classes after 3:10 p.m. have reportedly been canceled, per The State of Columbia, S.C.
