South Carolina freshman wide receiver D.J. Neal was forced from last week’s game at Tennessee, and that injury may lead him to miss Saturday’s contest against Florida.
Assistant coach Steve Spurrier Jr. said Neal is considered questionable for the game with a sciatic nerve issue, according to David Caraviello of The Post and Courier. The team hopes to learn more on Thursday.
Neal fell in the end zone during the fourth quarter of last Saturday’s game against Tennessee and was taken to the hospital. The Gamecocks wideout received an X-ray on his hip.
Throughout the week, South Carolina coaches have said they expect Neal to be fine.
