South Carolina punched its ticket to the first Final Four in school history Sunday afternoon. After the game, the Gamecocks had a chance to cut down the nets at Madison Square Garden before drenching head coach Frank Martin in water once everyone was bad in the locker room.
The celebration of the biggest win in program history will not end in New York City, however. The Gamecocks will return to Columbia later tonight, where the university is holding a welcoming event for the team in Colonial Life Arena, according to the team’s official website.
Gamecocks fans will be able to attend the event, which begins around 10 p.m. There will be remarks by South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner, as well as Martin.
