A three-star wide receiver has traded in one Carolina for the other.
Fewer than 48 hours after he de-committed from North Carolina, Korey Banks has signed a letter of intent to play for Will Muschamp and South Carolina in the fall.
Banks is a receiver out of Tyrone, Ga., who announced his decision early Wednesday morning.
Banks, the state of Georgia’s No. 74 player and the nation’s No. 119 wide receiver, broke it off with the Tar Heels one day after concluding his official visit to Columbia on Sunday. He also took an official visit to Alabama on Jan. 22 and turned down offers from two dozen other programs in order to play for South Carolina.
The Georgia standout will join Alan Knott as the second player on South Carolina’s team to hail from Sandy Creek High School.
