Can you imagine Saturdays without Steve Spurrier? Neither can we.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait very long to see the Head Ball Coach, as he’ll make an appearance on ESPN’s “College Gameday” this Saturday when the crew heads to Ann Arbor, Mich. for the showdown between Michigan and Michigan State.
In an interview with SiriusXM College Sports, Spurrier said the next phase of his life remains a mystery, though it likely includes a few golf balls.
“Yesterday, I came home about 3:30, 4’o’clock she (his wife) goes ‘What are you going to do now?’ I said I’m going to go hit a few golf balls,” Spurrier said. “Life’s going on and I’m ready for the next phase of it.”
“Gameday” will air from 9 a.m. ET until noon before kickoff at the Big House.
Earlier this week, after he resigned as coach of South Carolina, Spurrier said he’d “have something planned” for each day.
This Saturday, we’ll all have to plan to see the Head Ball Coach team up with Lee Corso in a star-studded broadcast.
Spurrier tells SiriusXM he got home yesterday about 3:30. Wife asked, "What are you going to do now?" HBC: "Going to hit a few golf balls."
