South Carolina coach Will Muschamp provided an injury update during Sunday night’s weekly teleconference.
Freshman linebacker T.J. Brunson sprained his ankle against Tennessee and is classified as questionable for next Saturday’s game against Missouri.
Freshman defensive lineman Kier Thomas, who was “popped on his ribs” against the Vols, should be fine heading into November.
Sophomore offensive lineman Donell Stanley continues to recover from an ankle injury. Though doctors cleared him before the Tennessee game, Stanley did not see any action. Muschamp hopes he’s able to play against Missouri.
“He’s a little bit hobbled right now, but being cleared doesn’t mean you’re 100 percent ready to play against Tennessee or Missouri,” Muschamp said. “So we need to make sure he’s 100 percent ready to go and that’s my philosophy. If he can go at practice and I feel comfortable about that, then we’ll clear him.”
