With his commitment, Moore joins 2017 OL Eric Douglas in the Gamecocks 2017 class. The two offensive linemen from Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, N.C. represent half of South Carolina’s offensive line class.
Over the last several months, Douglas has been consistent with his pursuit.
“Every day, he sends me text messages. He calls me. He FaceTimes me … it’s every day. It’s at least every two hours out of the day,” Moore said, earlier this spring. “I’ve blocked him. I block him once a week.”
More details were shared about Moore’s two finalists.
South Carolina: “Coach (Bobby) Bentley, he’s the man. He stays with me and makes sure I’m good on and off the field. He checks on my grades, talks to my coaches. I can talk to him about anything. When my grandma passed away, I talked to him about it and I liked it a lot.”
Tennessee: “I went to that spring game. it was 65,000 people. It was crazy. Everything is nice, the facility, the coaches. They’ve got their own little lunch room in the facility. It was crazy. Then, Coach (Larry) Scott, I talk to him a lot. He’s very cool. We talked a lot at the spring game, before the game.”
In addition to Moore and Douglas, South Carolina also has commitments from Summie Carlay and Dennis Daley. With those four offensive linemen on board, the Gamecocks are likely done at the position in 2017.
