Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem played at the University of Florida, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating on Sunday when No. 7 seed South Carolina rallied from a 10-point deficit to upset No. 2 seed Duke, 88-81, in a second-round NCAA Tournament game at at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
South Carolina’s victory on Sunday marked the first time the Gamecocks have advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in 44 years.
Haslem won two state championships playing for Martin at Miami (Fla.) Senior High School in 1997 and 1998.
