B.J. McKie is arguably the greatest player in the history of South Carolina basketball. His son, Justin, is a member of the Gamecocks’ current Sweet 16 team.
After South Carolina’s second-round win against Duke, Scott Eisberg of WCIV caught up with B.J., who’s currently an assistant coach at Charleston Southern.

The elder McKie left South Carolina as the school’s all-time leading scorer, ahead of NBA Hall of Fame member Alex English. After concluding his career with the Gamecocks, he played professionally in Europe.
Justin, a senior, scored 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench on Sunday night. This season, he averages 4.3 points per game.
