Martin, who guided the Gamecocks to their first Final Four in school history, showed how passionate he is and how much he loved this team when talking about it after the loss to Gonzaga.

The Gamecocks surprised just about everybody with this run, but in the defeat to Gonzaga, which was unquestionably one of the best teams in the country, South Carolina showed that it truly belonged in the Final Four with this effort.
Despite the loss and the departure of Thornwell, the future is very bright for South Carolina as long as Martin is the head coach.
