Teams talk about starting games fast. South Carolina’s A.J. Turner definitely did that for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
On the first play of the game, Turner took a handoff and raced ahead of the entire Texas A&M defense. After just one play, the Gamecocks had a 7-0 lead thanks to Turner’s 75-yard sprint.

The Gamecocks are underdogs against the Aggies, so South Carolina will need more plays like that if it is going to beat Texas A&M. The Gamecocks are also without wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Bryan Edwards. The Aggies are without All-American DE Myles Garrett.
