PRICHARD, Ala. – After a two-year stint at Coffeyville Community College, the top-rated junior college cornerback is ready to finally begin his career in the SEC.
JaMarcus King met with SEC Country at Blount High School on Wednesday morning to discuss his future as a South Carolina Gamecock.
Once committed to Auburn, King also considered several offers, including Arkansas and Baylor, but the relationship he shared with South Carolina coach Will Muschamp was too strong.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound cornerback will catch a flight to Columbia in seven days. With two years of eligibility remaining, he’ll be counted on to make an immediate impact in the Gamecocks’ secondary.
In the above video, King shares his thoughts on Muschamp, which NFL cornerback is his favorite and the direction of the Gamecocks’ program.
