Will Muschamp’s hard work has finally paid off.
Bryan Edwards committed to South Carolina on Tuesday, becoming the first player to pledge to the Gamecocks since Muschamp was named coach.

Edwards, a 4-star wide receiver, is rated as the No. 3 player in South Carolina and No. 44 wide receiver in the nation.
He was recruited by South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott, who was the lone member of Steve Spurrier’s coaching staff to be retained by Muschamp.
The 6-foot-3, 208-pound Edwards took an official visit to South Carolina on Dec. 11 after receiving an in-home visit from the Gamecocks a few days earlier on Dec. 7.
Edwards chose South Carolina over the likes of UGA, Florida and in-state rival Clemson.
