Will Muschamp said the firing of Les Miles was “sad to see.”
During Sunday night’s teleconference, the South Carolina first-year coach was asked about the day’s major college football news: LSU’s decision to fire coach Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
“Les was always good to me,” Muschamp said. “It’s an unfortunate situation. It’s part of our profession, so I know that he’s always been very cordial and good with me. That’s all I can look at. He’s a good man, a good football coach.”
Muschamp, who finished with an overall record of 28-21 as the coach at Florida, was fired nine games into his fourth-and-final season in Gainesville.
