A proud face of Alabama’s past will be the Crimson Tide’s honorary captain Saturday.
As relayed by SEC Country’s Marq Burnett, former Alabama running back Derrick Henry will hold the title as the Crimson Tide take on Florida State in a huge season opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Henry won the Heisman Trophy in 2015 when he ran for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Perhaps having Henry, who’s currently with the Tennessee Titans, in the building will bring Alabama good vibes. The Crimson Tide will be tested in one of the most anticipated season openers ever, and it figures to be close.
Henry’s rooting interests will be clear, for sure.
