Jamal Elliott, a 4-star running back recruit from Durham, N.C., revealed his top 3 schools on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, one of which comes from the SEC. Elliott narrowed his choices to Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Oregon.
Elliott has offers from several other SEC schools, including South Carolina, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU and Vanderbilt. However, the Vols are the conference’s only team that now has a chance to land the Class of 2018 back, who is listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds on his 247Sports profile.

Elliott is he No. 8 running back in North Carolina — and the No. 208 back nationally — in the 2018 recruiting class in the 247sports composite rankings. He is listed at No. 152 in the ESPN Junior 300 rankings.
Elliott plays for Hillside High School in Durham, where he will enter his senior season this fall.
While the Vols made the cut, it appears Elliott’s next official visit will be to Oregon on April 29. He received an offer from the Ducks on Tuesday.
