Five-star wide receiver Tee Higgins once was committed to Tennessee before he re-opened his recruitment. As he visits other schools and hears what they have to offer, it seems he is still thinking about Knoxville.
The 6-foot-4, 188-pound wide receiver from Oak Ridge, Tenn., spent this week at Clemson for most of this week. He came away impressed with what Dabo Swinney’s program had to offer and said they were getting close. But he tells David Hood of TigerNet.com that Tennessee is still his top school:
“I’m not sure when I’ll make a decision,” Higgins said. “The visit helped for Clemson. Tennessee is still number one right now. Clemson made it closer. Tennessee, Clemson, and Ohio State are the top three right now, but I’m also looking at Florida State and Ole Miss.”
That may not bode well for the Volunteers, but it still appears they are leading the way for this talented in-state receiver.
Higgins is the No. 3 wide receiver in the country and top prospect from Tennessee according to 247Sports. 247Sports’ crystal ball currently projects Higgins to choose Clemson over Tennessee. He decommitted from the Volunteers in February.
He is expected to be in Knoxville for Orange Carpet Day this weekend, according to Ryan Callahan of 247Sports.
