Rest easy, Tennessee fans. Casey Clausen is still a “Vol for Life.”
On Saturday, several Vols fans noticed that Clausen seemed to be wearing what appeared to be a hat of rival Alabama in a photo alongside fellow former Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin, as pointed out by A to Z Sports Nashville’s Zach Ragan.
Please tell me that’s a Braves hat and not a damn Bama hat. Come on Casey! pic.twitter.com/7aD6tcb3tq

Clausen’s hat was, however, one of his high school alma matter, Bishop Alemany High School, where he currently works as the football team’s coach, as pointed out by a Twitter user.
On the left is the logo of the school Casey Clausen coaches at & played for, on the right is a guy from undefeated #VolTwitter who can’t do a simple google search. Chalk this up as loss number 88567447935534 @jontweet1978 pic.twitter.com/k4N87NrGP3

For what it’s worth, Clausen made his first start at Tennessee against Alabama in 2000, which resulted in a 20-10 victory for the Vols and their sixth consecutive over the Crimson Tide at the time.
Surely, he wouldn’t be caught wearing any Alabama gear in public.
