You hear more and more about sports figures learning about trades or other big career developments through social media.
If the Twitter account of Tennessee linebacker Colton Jumper is to believed, he had one of those moments on Thursday.
A reclassification has given Jumper an extra year of eligibility and he says he learned about it online.

Jumper’s 2014 season will be changed to a redshirt and Jumper will have two seasons left. He played one game in ’14. His official online bio at utsports.com has also been updated.
Jumper started seven games for the Vols this past fall, and made a career-high 11 tackles against Georgia. He had 61 tackles in 12 games in his first “junior” season and also had an interception against Texas A&M.
