KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Deandre Johnson can’t help but get excited when he starts talking about football, especially when his commitment to Tennessee enters the conversation.
Johnson committed to the Vols last Monday and will arrive on the University of Tennessee campus on Jan. 8.
At 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, Johnson projects as a defensive end, but he said in Thursday’s Facebook Live chat he’s willing to play anywhere on the defensive line the coaches see fit.
Johnson camped at Tennessee last summer, along with Alabama and Mississippi State.
The Miami Southridge product was committed to Mississippi State, but he said his heart was always with the Vols.
