Details emerge in 2 Tennessee starters’ suspensions
Tennessee will be without a key defensive tackle for its biggest game of the season to date, when the No. 23 Vols host No. 19 Oklahoma.
Now it’s known why.
Yesterday it was announced that Danny O’Brien was suspended indefinitely. Today, news out of Knoxville sheds light as to why he’s out for at least Saturday’s game: a failed drug test, according to WNML’s Jimmy Hyams.
O’Brien’s suspension comes a week after receiver Pig Howard was suspended for the Vols’ season opener against Bowling Green.
This latest news on O’Brien and Howard comes on the heels of freshman Andrew Butcher’s legal arrangement today over a drinking incident.
Vols DT Danny O'Brien has been suspended for Oklahoma game due to a positive drug test. Pig Howard was suspended for opener for same reason
