On Sunday morning, SEC on CBS announced that Florida-Tennessee scored the weekend’s highest college football rating with a 3.7/9 household rating/share in the metered markets. The network said the game was up 16 percent from the contest between the SEC East rivals last year.

It’s safe to assume CBS would love seeing Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game. When the Vols are doing well, that means big numbers for television executives.
