There have been a string of class-action lawsuits filed by former college players against the NCAA recently.
O.J. Owens, a former defensive back for Tennessee from 2000-03, has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA this week, according to WATE 6 On Your Side in Knoxville, Tenn.
Edelson PC, the law firm representing Owens, told Wate 6 On Your Side that the lawsuit came about as a result of the long-lasting effects of concussions the former Vol suffered during his career. Owens, who was limited by injuries, played in 18 games for Tennessee and totaled four tackles.
