Former Tennessee defensive lineman Dimarya Mixon has revealed his next stop.
On Tuesday, Mixon used Twitter to say that he will transfer to SMU. In March, it was announced that Mixon was no longer with Tennessee’s program.
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound player appeared in 12 games last season. He totaled eight tackles, including a sack against Tennessee Tech.
Mixon was suspended for the Vols’ 38-24 victory over Nebraska in the Music City Bowl. As reported by SEC Country’s Mike Griffith, a failed substance test was the reason for that absence.
Mixon joined Tennessee as a 3-star member of its 2014 recruiting class. He made 37 appearances throughout the last three seasons, and he had 19 tackles.
