Following his transfer from Tennessee in October, it was believed that Hurd may enter the NFL Draft. However, his name was not included on the NFL’s list of underclassmen who were granted eligibility to enter this year’s draft.
The former Vols running back reportedly took a visit to Cal last weekend.
At the time of his transfer decision, Hurd was Tennessee’s leading rusher with 451 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. He finished his career as the Vols’ sixth-leading rusher with 2,638 yards.
Nearly a week after the announcement, Hurd took to Twitter to explain his decision, citing injuries and offensive scheme as a few reasons why he left Knoxville.
