Former Tennessee star Eric Berry to be honored as “Vol For Life Legend of the Game”
Kansas City Chiefs’ safety Eric Berry will be honored as a “Vol For Life Legend of the Game” on Saturday.
Berry, who played for Tennessee from 2007-09, started all 39 games he played with the Vols. He was a unanimous All-American selection in his final two seasons. He also won the Jim Thorpe Award as the best defensive back in the nation.
Berry’s brothers, Evan and Elliot, are twins and currently play for Tennessee. Evan Berry leads the nation in yards per kickoff return. Elliot Berry is a backup linebacker.
Eric Berry was last at a Tennessee game on Sept. 19 when the Vols played Western Carolina. Evan Berry returned a kickoff for an 88-yard touchdown with his older brother watching.
The Chiefs have a bye this weekend before playing the Denver Broncos on Nov. 15.
