The wheels have come off for the Tennessee fan base.
After a surprising loss to South Carolina, rumors have swirled about players quitting the team, highlighted by rumors swirling about star running back Jalen Hurd.
With the team in such disarray, fans had all kinds of reactions on social media on Monday morning.
First, some fans were blaming the Hurd news on the struggles of Butch Jones.

@UTCoachJones you are destroying UT football.

If the promises thing is true, I'm over Butch. @MrHurd_1 has been my fav UT player in a decade & they were too stubborn to run under center

And with news of Hurd transferring, several fan bases were floating their suggestions out for where the former 5-star recruit land. Some fans were more serious than others.
Before starting up the "Jalen Hurd to Michigan" rumors, ask yourself if Harbaugh would want someone who just quit on his team.

BREAKING: Jalen Hurd is transferring to Tennessee Tech, and has been promised to start against The University of Tennessee this Saturday.

Have heard this rumor before about Jalen Hurd. He would be welcomed in Blacksburg now, I'm sure. https://t.co/XUPk1kGI75

Even some Georgia fans took delight in the fact that Tennessee’s implosion was distracting people from how bad the Bulldogs looked against Florida.

Thank you, Tennessee,
For always seeming to divert negative attention away from other bad teams around this time of the year.

And there were the fans who were just taking notice of the general dismay of the Tennessee program.
To put it in perspective, Tennessee is an absolute wreck right now.

How can I be expected to work when Tennessee Football is literally falling apart before my eyes??????????????????????????????
— Elizabeth Sova (@MinneSova8) October 31, 2016
People are saying it took Tennessee football 8 games to get back to being a dumpster fire. Nah. That never left.
— Tony Geist (@TonyGeist) October 31, 2016
The Tennessee fan base has also gotten to the point where people are now clamoring for Jon Gruden to take over as the replacement for Butch Jones.
Whoa whoa whoa… completely left out one VERY important stage:
— Carl Eppolito (@CarlEppolito) October 31, 2016
Does anyone have eyes on John Gruden?
— Mason Taylor (@SkigMason) October 31, 2016
The program is in such bad shape right now, I'm expecting Gruden rumors very soon. It's about that time for the Tennessee coaching carousel
— Dalton King (@daltonwking) October 31, 2016
Fire Butch, hire Gruden. Then maybe Gruden brings Peyton as the OC…. I imagine that's what heaven is like.
