Larry Scott continues to work his South Florida connections.
The recently hired Tennessee tight ends coach headed south on Thursday, the first day coaches could visit prospects after the dead period ended. Scott had an in-home visit with Jordan Woods, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive end from North Marion High School in Citra, Fla.

Woods’ eventual landing spot is, as of now, tough to determine. He took an official visit to Tennessee on Oct. 10 and an official visit to South Florida on Dec. 10. The three-star prospect is set to take an official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend, West Virginia on Jan. 22 and Miami on Jan. 29.
Though most thought Miami was the team to beat, coaching changes in Coral Gables, Fla., could benefit the Vols. Scott was Miami’s run-game coordinator and interim head coach before being hired by the Vols.
Scott was combing South Florida throughout the day. He also met with four-star receiver Binjimen Victor. The 6-foot-4, 177-pound prospect from Coconut Creek High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. is set to take his official visit to Tennessee this weekend.
