A Tennessee politician really doesn’t want its opponent to win. So much in fact, their campaign mail is referencing former Vols head coach Derek Dooley in an attempt to prevent that from happening.
As you may recall, Dooley didn’t have the best tenure at Tennessee. He went 15-21 in three years, all losing seasons. His only bowl appearance was after his first year in 2010 when the Vols lost in the Music City Bowl.
The politician being campaigned against in the propaganda mailing is running for a position she already once held. So her opponent compared bringing her back to if the Vols decided to bring back Dooley:

Dooley landed on his feet quickly after his tenure at Tennessee. He has served as wide receivers coach for the Dallas Cowboys since 2013. He also had previously coached at two other SEC schools — as a graduate assistant with Georgia in 1996 and for five seasons as an LSU assistant from 2000-04.
