In one of the oddest Twitter feuds in recent memory, an Ohio State coach decided to troll Tennessee running back coach Robert Gillespie.
The exchange began when Gillespie sent out a celebratory tweet after the Vols secured a commitment from four-star receiver Marquez Callaway from Warner Robins (Ga.) High School, who committed to the Vols on Thursday.
Boom!! The face of DBs and their position coaches that have to play us right now ??????? #Vols

The tweet seemed innocent enough, but apparently, Ohio State receivers coach Zach Smith didn’t appreciate it. Smith responded with a tweet of his own.

It’s unclear what led Smith to troll Gillespie. The Vols and Buckeyes don’t play each other, and Ohio State wasn’t thought to be recruiting Callaway. In fact, Ohio State recently beat out the Vols for four-star receiver Binjimen Victor from Coconut Creek (Fla.) High School. Victor committed to Ohio State on Monday after taking his official visit to Tennessee last weekend.
