Peyton Manning has been away from a football field since winning his second Super Bowl in February 2016. Not surprisingly, the former quarterback enjoyed the bonds he formed as part of a team.
Speaking at the SAS Global Forum 2018 on Wednesday, the former Tennessee star revealed that being on a team is what he misses most about his time playing football. You can understand why Manning would feel that way. He enjoyed a lengthy NFL career after becoming a standout for the Volunteers from 1994-97. He was a member of the Indianapolis Colts from 1998-2011, before playing for the Denver Broncos throughout his final four seasons as a professional.
Recently, Manning turned down heavy interest from ESPN and FOX Sports to join the broadcast booth for the 2018 NFL season. It appears the former quarterback is pleased with his life away from the field, even if he enjoyed significant parts of his old existence.
Still, memories of Manning’s magic from the pocket will remain strong for many fans who saw him work those many years.
