KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee will hold its final high school camp of the summer today before gearing up for training camp in early August.
A number of top Vols targets are expected to attend Thursday’s camp, with news breaking early in the day that prized 2018 quarterback recruit Emory Jones would visit Tennessee.
According to 247Sports’ Steve Wilting, Jones, the nation’s No. 2 duel-threat quarterback, will stop by Knoxville before heading up to Ohio State for its Friday Night Lights camp this weekend.
Both the Vols and the Buckeyes are in a heated showdown for the 4-star Heard County (Ga.) standout. The 247Sports “Crystal Ball” projections currently list Ohio State at 76 percent and UT at 24 percent.
Meanwhile, several of Tennessee’s assistant coaches took to Twitter on Thursday morning to promote UT’s final camp.
