Jon Gruden reportedly is making moves that suggests he could return to coaching.
On Monday, The Read Optional’s Trey Wallace used Twitter to report that Gruden is “investing some time into at least reaching out to a potential staff.” In October, The Read Optional reported that Tennessee had offered the Super Bowl-winning coach more than $10 million a year to lead the Vols.
Gruden is investing some time into at least reaching out to a potential staff…I would as well, with that kind of money on the table. #Vols

The rumors about Gruden and the Tennessee job likely will continue until the position is filled. (You have to love Grumors!) On Sunday, the Vols parted ways with coach Butch Jones, who went 34-27 at Tennessee.
It will remain fascinating to see what comes of the Vols’ job, which should be one of the most appealing positions available this year. The next coach, whether it’s Gruden or someone else, will be tasked with making Tennessee an SEC East contender once more.
For sure, many Vols fans would love to see Gruden in Knoxville next season.
