KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — With just four scholarship tailbacks on the roster, Tennessee has sought additional depth this offseason and the Volunteers reportedly landed another running back on Monday.
Jeremy Lewis, a 3-star 2016 prospect from Lone Grove (Okla.) High School, enrolled at Tennessee for the second semester of summer classes, according to GoVols247’s Ryan Callahan.
The 6-foot-1, 193-pound tailback previously committed to Arkansas State last July. The nation’s 126th running back also held offers from Nebraska, Tulsa and Ohio, rushing for 2,966 yards and 51 touchdowns as a senior.
According to Callahan, Lewis is expected to be added to Tennessee’s official roster in time for preseason camp on Aug. 1.
