Junior college transfer forward Ray Kasongo’s career with the Tennessee men’s basketball team was short-lived.
Kasongo will not return to the Volunteers next season, according to WNML’s Jimmy Hyams. As of now, he has not requested an official release from the school.
Kasongo transferred to Tennessee after his freshman season at College of Southern Idaho, where he averaged six points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 34 games. The 6-foot-8 Canada native played sparingly in 22 games for Tennessee last season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.45 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game.
