Emerson required a cart to leave the field after his left leg buckled during defensive line drills.
Emerson ranks as the No. 2 prospect from the state of Tennessee in the Class of 2018 and the No. 5 defensive tackle in the country, per the 247Sports composite rankings. The Jackson, Tenn. native recently visited Tennesse’s campus for Orange Carpet Day.
Emerson plans to make his college decision in December.
Alontae Taylor attended The Opening as the only other player from the Volunteer State.
UPDATE: Per Barton Simmons of 247Sports, Emerson dislocated his ankle/fractured his fibula.
